Farewell, Andrew Weatherall
#Losing Andrew Weatherall is terrible for the music scene as a whole. I did not know him personally, and I only learned yesterday that he was behind The Sabres of Paradise, whose album Haunted Dancehall I absolutely love.
Music like that throws me back to my teenage years not for some nostalgic reason but for the profound effect that hearing it had on me then, and even now - so vastly different. I fall in love with electronic music again every time I put these titles on. I owe so much to people like him.
