#I am not one to blog a rant against my own country's authorities.. for nothing. However, you would be interested to know that a party organiser recently tried to contact the Bulgarian embassy and get some money to fly me over for a gig. Naturally they got a sound "No".
See, I am told it's common practice to have this small budget at an embassy, used to support artistic and cultural performances that present the culture of a country abroad. Not so for our embassies, though, which are a tad more likely to engage in more freeform activities such as, say, selling tax-free alcohol?
The point is, if you ever look to book a Bulgarian for a gig abroad, plan for no government money because there really is none. None you can get anyway.
